Pros and cons of Rome Travel Guide by Triposo app for iPhone and iPad

Rome Travel Guide by Triposo app good for

Excelent app. It shows your position offline and gives the distance you are from each touristic place you are looking for... Best map app, no doubt.
We are planning a trip to Rome and find this very useful to map and find what sites we would like to visit although more information about places outside Rome would be helpful as well.
Great app. Well worth it and very informative and helpful on the go! No connection needed the app has it all built in already.
very good travel guide for Rome. all interesting places and offline map. much better then paid apps.
The app has the offline features, which was really helpful for me during my travel! Highly recommend :)

Some bad moments

Doing a lot to push the tour industry forward. I have paid for other app guidebooks and they dont have much more then this. Im glade to see the stale standard tour-books challenged to innovate by an app like this. The archaic standard tour-books have had way to much influence over the tourism industry. I hope apps like this help the opinions and knowledge of people who have an authentic love of a city, and whos reviews reflect more then the kickbacks their getting, get greater publicity.
I had really high hopes for this application but the execution and quality control has a long way to go. They clearly are syndicating content from other sites but they arent doing it in a way that guarantees accuracy or quality of that data. As a result I dont trust what its telling me is the best advice possible. Ill stick with a Lonely Planet guide for now. I also found the usability of this app frustrating. Its not well designed.
Just allow the user to download data for whatever cities they want...
I love to travel and have added all 29 FREE travel guides by Triposo to my collection of travel apps on my iOS device. Each Triposo Guide is very well-done and packed with useful information and pictures. None of the guides have crashed on me. Triposo Guides will definitely give these guides, which are also apps a run for their money: “Nepal World Travel”; Frommer’s Guides; Keen Guides; and Lonely Planet Travel Guides. The smallest-size Triposo Guide is Chicago Travel Guide at 13.6 MB; the largest is Moscow Travel Guide at 115.9 MB.
Tons of great info about every site imaginable in Rome. Pics of most of the places you rally want to see, so you know what youre looking for when youre walking around. Its like having a tour guide at your finger tips, at none of the cost.
What a shame. Little about the churches, not a word about the Metro or bus lines. Basically an ad for the hotels, restaurants, etc. on this app. This incredible city deserved better.
